This Electronic Speed Controller comes pre-programmed as a replacement part for use with the ELEV-8 V2 Quadcopter Kit. 

It is also re-programmable for use in your own projects. Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs) are used on most RC equipment for controlling the speed of a brushless motor. This ESC is compatible with a standard RC receiver or any 3.3 V or 5 V microcontroller running the proper pulse-width modulation (PWM).
