Digital Display Geiger Counter uses a microprocessor and bright yellow 4 digit display to count radioactive beta and gamma rays. Features two switch selected modes: counts per minute or total count. Kit uses a glass geiger counter tube and a pre-programmed PIC16F88 IC. Background radiation here in Arizona is about 8 counts per minute. Bright yellow display features 0.5" tall characters. Geiger counter flashes a red LED and emits a click for each detection. Size of PC board is 4.2" x 3.3". Kit requires soldering. Skill level 2. Comes with all parts, geiger tube, PC board, and instructions. No case available. Requires a 9V battery (not included).
