TPI 270 Digital Clamp-On Meter with non-contact voltage detection
The 270 with slim jaw and body is ideal for use in cramped work areas and crowded electrical panels. Capture in-rush current using peak hold mode. The 270 is cULus approved.
The TPI 270 clamp-on meter has a high input impedance of 10 Megohms to prevent circuit loading, permit the use of optional adapters, and ensure accurate measurements.
This beneficial feature, along with the DC millivolt range being part of the DC volt function and not isolated on a separate range, causes the 270 to display a non-zero or “floating” reading when the inputs are open circuit.
This floating reading has no affect on accuracy when making measurements because an open input is a floating condition and not a zero volt input state. When the inputs are shorted, the 270 will display zero (±2 counts). When the inputs are connected to a voltage the 270 will display the applied voltage accurately.
