Overview
Our newest addition to our robot family of kits is the The Drone Robot Kit. This amazing new robot uses its electronic brain to follow or find a light source (such as a standard flashlight). Using its drive motors, The Drone will scoot across any smooth hard surface (such as a linoleum floor or a wooden table top) looking for light. Unlike "normal" drone's that hide in the dark, our DRONE robot actively searches for light! While searching, a LED array on the front of the robot lights up and blinks.
The DRONE Kit offers a great experience for your students as it is easy to build and fun to watch as it searches for light. It is an economical addition to your curriculum and your students will be amazed at The Drone's ability to follow light. We are proud to offer you this quality robot at such an affordable price.
Those that have had the opportunity to control the DRONE have been amazed at how well it responds and how much fun it is to play with. We used a flashlight to control the movements of our DRONE - Look below for a video clip of this kit in action.
The DRONE is an easy to build kit that operates form one 9V battery (not included) and uses a transistor brain to control its 2 motors. The PC board and motors can be customized by painting them before assembly. Size of PC board is approximately 3.75" x 2.5" . This kit comes complete with all parts, PC board and instructions.
